How can a loving God allow so much suffering? It’s a question that people have always wrestled with. It’s one that almost all of us have or will ask at some point in life. Let’s face it: it’s a tough question. But it’s one that we don’t need to be scared of or shy away from.

Suffering, one of the studies in the Amplify line of Bible study curriculum, will help students understand that while God is in control of all things, suffering is a result of our rebellion against Him, that God chose to step into the midst of our suffering – in the form of Christ’s death on the cross – not to remain distant from it, and that God uses trials and suffering to accomplish His purposes and shape our faith.
